It is asked that you view these rules before posting a topic for a General Roleplay to Otaku Island's RP Thread to know what is and is not acceptable for submission. Overall rules still apply to any and all threads on Otaku Island's forums. Failure to heed rules will result in your thread being removed.
1. NSFW RPs
NSFW (Not safe for work) roleplays are not accepted on the public forum and are requested to be kept private. Sexual content is not allowed on Otaku Island and this continues into roleplaying.
2. Staying On Topic
You are currently in the General Roleplay section, a section dedicated to non-fandom based roleplays. Like other forums, it is asked that you stay on topic in the thread you are posting in. To find Fandom-based Roleplays, please see here.
3. Godmodding
Please be aware of the presence of godmodding, AKA having overpowered characters. It can be fun in certain situations, but roleplays are meant to be fun for all parties involved. Things like "I kill you all, no dodge, no miss," aren't generally fun and, in most situations simply annoy other users you may be roleplaying with.
4. Keep Tags in Mind
If a roleplay is marked 1x1 and the other role has been taken, please do not intrude on another users roleplay. Use rational thinking when viewing topics and do not be invasive in others roleplays.
5. Harassment and Abuse
Like the rest of Otaku Island, it is expected of users not to harass and abuse others and RP is not an excuse to treat another user poorly. Slanderous and racist/LGBT+phobic/other hateful language will not be tolerated in RP.
